Kim Cox ~ Owner/TrainerKim Cox ~ Owner/Trainer

Kim has been around horses all her life. As a child, she grew up showing in Texas winning many ribbons and championships in the Hunter, Jumper and Equitation classes over the years. She continued her education at Texas A&M University graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences. During her time at school, Kim gained valuable experience while working at Texas A&M Large Animal Clinic.

Kim established Tally Ho Farm in 1993. Over the next four years Kim built the business in Iowa Park, Texas into a small boarding facility with twenty five students and a show team. In 1997, Kim sold the Iowa Park facility and moved to Conroe, Texas where she continued to offer riding lessons and training on a contract basis at an established riding facility in Conroe. In 2002, Kim and husband, Dale, purchased an existing facility east of The Woodlands where Tally Ho Farm currently provides a majority of its services.

Kim became a certified riding instructor in 1994 through the American Riding Instructor Certification Program (ARICP). Kim serves as staff and as a testing administrator for the organization. Kim was recognized as the 1999 Instructor of the Year by ARIA.

In 2010, Kim was in the first group of applicants to attain certification from the United Sates Hunter Jumper Association and obtain the title of Certified Trainer from this prestigious organization. The criteria for this certification can found at USHJA Trainer Certification Program

Since developing Tally Ho Farm, Kim's teaching system has led clinets to great success in the show ring. Kim's clients have earned top honors at the local level, in the hunter and jumper division, the equitation finals and the Grand Prix level. Even more than winning ribbons, Kim prides herself on developing horsemanship in her students. She works with riders of all levels and has a wide cross section of students. Kim loves what she does and it shows! This facility epitomizes Kim's career and is her life-long calling.

Kim can be contacted at kim@tallyhofarm.com if you have any questions.

Sheridan Bradshaw ~ InstructorSheridan Bradshaw ~ Instructor
Sheridan began riding at the age of nine and has kept horses as a part of her life ever since. She wanted to be an instructor while still very young, so she volunteered, watched lessons and absorbed as much knowledge as she could. She began teaching at a riding summer camp at thirteen as a jr. instructor and taught her first lesson at fourteen. She audited a Certified Horseman's Association (CHA) clinic in 2001 and became certified in hunt seat in 2006 through ARICP. She plans to continue learning and wishes to be certified in other disciplines in the future.

Sheridan still enjoys riding, taking lessons and showing but her passion is teaching: watching her students' skills and shared love of horses increase with every lesson and show.

She is currently working toward a business degree with a minor in equine science.

Ashley Thourot ~ InstructorAshley Thourot ~ Instructor
Ashley has been riding her entire life.  Though she still loves to ride, train young horses and compete, she also loves to share her passion and knowledge with others by teaching riding lessons.  She is ARICP certified in Huntseat, Eventing, and Stable Management and is currently working to complete her Bachelors in Equine Science.  Ashley strives to maintain a safe, fun learning environment for both the horse and rider and enjoys teaching hobby riders as well as those who want to get serious and compete.

Kristen Ruud Kristin Ruud ~ Instructor

Kristin Ruud is an intensive care nurse as well as a certified ARICP instructor in both dressage and hunt seat.  She started riding when she was stationed in the United States Air Force, Witchita Falls Tx., where she discovered an english riding school called Tally Ho Farm.  English riding in Texas-a true surprise in this state known for cowboys and rodeos!!!  This was a lifelong passion that was finally fulfilled.  She was then stationed in Oklahoma City, and after leaving Wichita Falls, she continued to drive back once a month to continue her training.
She entered the RN program at Oklahoma City University, and upon graduation moved to Houston, bought a horse, and kept riding at the newly relocated Tally Ho Farm in Conroe, Tx.  Becoming an instructor seemed to be the next logical step for horsemanship.  Now she is not only enjoying her lifelong passion but instilling it in her students.  She feels that this blend of careers is wonderful, working both the mind and body for a healthy lifestyle.
